See Where You Stand.
The consultation is free. The call costs nothing. You only pay if we recover benefits for you — and that's how we prefer it.

What Happens After You Reach Out
Here's what to expect when you contact Garbow Law Office.
Step 1:
We Get Back to You Quickly
Mike or Sara will follow up by phone or email — typically within one business day. If your situation is urgent, say so when you leave your message or fill out the form.
Step 2:
You Tell Us What Happened
There's no script and no pressure. Just describe your injury, what happened when you filed your claim, and where things stand now. You don't need a case number, a denial letter in hand, or a clear theory of what went wrong. You just need to tell us what happened.
Step 3:
We Tell You Where You Stand
Mike will give you an honest assessment of your situation — what your options look like, whether your claim has viable grounds, and what the next steps would be if you want to move forward. No obligation to hire us. No fee for the conversation.
Step 4:
You Decide
If you want to move forward, we talk about next steps. If you need more time, that's fine too. The evaluation is yours to keep either way.
What Workers Ask Before They Call
How do I contact a workers' comp attorney in Duluth, Minnesota?
Call Garbow Law Office at (218) 800-8020 or use the contact form on this page. We serve injured workers throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin, including clients in Duluth, Superior, and across the Iron Range. The initial consultation is free and carries no obligation.
What should I have ready before my consultation?
Not much. A general description of your injury and what happened when you filed — or tried to file — is enough to start. If you have a denial letter, bring it. If you don't, that's fine. Mike will ask the questions that matter and work from there.
How quickly will someone get back to me?
We typically respond within one business day. If your situation is time-sensitive — for example, if you've received a denial and you're not sure how long you have to respond — say so in your message and we'll prioritize getting back to you.
What if my situation seems unusual or complicated?
That's most of our caseload. PTSD claims, Gillette cumulative injuries, denied claims that have already been through one round of insurer arguments — these are the cases we handle every day. If another firm told you your situation was too complicated or that you didn't have a case, we'd rather you call us before you accept that.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. There's no charge for the initial case review and no obligation to hire us afterward. We work on contingency — we only recover a fee when you recover benefits. That arrangement doesn't start until you decide to move forward with us.
